Sister Boniface

Sister Boniface is played by Lorna Watson. She first meets Father Brown in The Bride of Christ, a Series 1 convent mystery, and returns in Series 11’s The Forensic Nun. The character is an enthusiastic reader of detective fiction and brings scientific curiosity to her work. Her first appearance is a supporting part in Brown’s series; her later return makes the connection visible again for viewers who also know the Sister Boniface Mysteries spin-off.

Her friendship with Father Brown is warm and intellectually lively.
